    More research required

My SIL recommended this car seat but I wish I'll given it a bit more thought! It is much bigger than her previous newborn seat so my long-legged husband can't put his seat all the way back! It was very hard to install with multiple trips onto Youtube! The shoulder straps easily twist. It is secured by the seatbelt so you have to reach over the extended belt to put them in & out so it is very hard to get a sleeping baby out of the seat & keep her asleep!! But she seems very comfortable in it and given the number of years she'll stay in it I think it is good value for money.

    Excellent Rearfacing seat

We did a lot of research on Rearfacing seats before deciding to get this seat as our 2nd seat, it fits very well into our car, ford mondeo. It's easy to put our 13 month old in and out of, he likes it and easily falls asleep without his head falling forward. This seat can be used forward facing too but we won't be doing that until our son reaches the weight limit of 18kg for Rearfacing. All in all, great seat, worth the money as we'll hopefully be using it for at least 6 years!

    Better than expected

Very soft, comfortable and safe seat. We use the Joie Stages since our son got 1 year old (6 months ago) and outgrew the stage 0+ car seat. It seems for the price surprisingly good quality too. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the tilt for rear facing position is a bit too upright leading to my son's head flopping forward when asleep. I know this depends on the tilt of the car’s back seat also, but I’d say most back seats tilt a bit to the rear of the car. The car seat takes up a lot of space on the back seat, not leaving much space for the front seat, therefore making it not very suitable for a small car. Placing a baby or toddler into the seat is a bit trickier as the seatbelt blocks the side closest to the car door. We usually place my son in from the other side while sitting on the back seat. The bottom part of the car seat is wider than a stage 1 seat allowing enough space for an older child’s hip, but this also makes it a bit too big for a 1-3 year old. You need to make sure that the child sits in the middle of the seat, otherwise the seatbelt won’t fasten evenly tight at both shoulders. For the same reason, it allows for a smaller child to slouch in the seat a bit. The buckle seems sturdy and easy enough to use, except for children, which is a good thing.
