We bought this for our first baby becuase I thought it was gorgeous - so traditional and snug looking. It does look fabulous but in hindight, I would not condider buying it again for the following reasons;
- It rocks too dramatically. we had to make a piece for the bottom to stop it rockinga s our newborn would fall from side to side when it rocked, so we had to stabilise it.
- It is S0 noisy. It creaks unbelievably. So many times, we woke our little man just putting him in to it, or he woke himself moving in his sleep. It creaks with the slightest touch. I would never have considered this before purchasing but it was a huge issue for us.
- It is very heavy. We were using it downstairs during the day and upstairs at night, and carrying it up and down the stairs was no joke. It is heavy and bulky, and not ideal if you are planning on using it in two or more rooms
All in all, it is a fabulous looking piece, couldnt fault the workmanship but in my opinion, from a practicality perspective, it was not a good purchase for us.Durability Quality Value for Money
