Maternity Fitting and Sizing Guide

maternity fitting and sizing guide

Becoming pregnant means saying goodbye to your pre-pregnancy body and watching as your shape changes entirely, sometimes daily! We know mums-to-be worry about their changing bodies and want to feel great in their clothes even when they're nine months pregnant and can no longer see their toes! We fit our garments on mums-to-be so we fully understand your needs during pregnancy, making sure the clothes look good and are comfortable on you at every stage.

Check your measurements against our size chart to ensure you are buying the right size.

Remember that we are all different shapes & sizes and sometimes we can sit in the middle of a size. Trying a size above or below can help achieve the most comfortable fit for you.

Our well designed maternity clothes are versatile and often suitable for post-pregnancy.

bra measurement
  • In order to work out your bra size, you need to establish two measurements - under the bust and the cup size. Ideally measurement should be taken over your current bra but without your top on.
  • A) For under bust measurements you need to take a firm measurement under the bust holding the tape measure in a straight line and wrapping it around you. Working in inches add 4 to the measurement if it is even and add 5 if it is odd. For example, if you measure 31 inches, add 5 to make your under the bust measurement 36 inches.
  • B) Over bust / cup size - you need to measure loosely around the fullest part of the cup ensuring the tape measure is level at the front and the back.
  • To work out which cup size you are: the difference between measurement A (under-the-bust measurement) and B (your bust size measurement), equals the cup size. For example, if you measure 36 under the bust (A) and 40 around the bust (B), the difference between the two figures is 4 or a D cup. See the chart below to work out which number equates to which bust size.
  • Bra fittings are widely available throughout the high street.
  • You should be measured for a nursing bra around 36 - 38 weeks into pregnancy.
