+ The colour matches the gate.
- The vertical metal pole is 3cm too short to fit the gate therefore it slipped down out of the upper fitting and stuck out. This is not good at all for a safety gate. This was the only extension sold with the gates and was not fit for purpose.

+ It fits perfect on the stair Gate. Very easy to attach. Ideal if you need to extend the gate to fit the doorway.
- It comes in 1 size only so had to buy 2. Which makes it costly. In fact the stairgate was cheaper than buying 2 extensions. Other manufacturers make several sizes. Apart from that I d reckonmends the extension s to anyone.

+ we bought this extension for the classic gate and in total we used the maximum of 3 extensions recommended as the opening was quite large.
overall the gate holds;
easy to assembly;
blends in with the wooden staircase (doesn't look too out of place, given it's metal);
- 3 extensions (we needed to use the maximum recommended as the staircase is quite wide) does stretch it a bit, the gate feels a little wobbly;
