Hassle-free returns policy
We are happy to refund or exchange any product purchased via www.mothercare.ie returned within 28 days of purchase (excluding delivery charges).
Non-sale items purchased online can be returned for a refund or exchange within 28 days of purchase (excluding delivery charges) and sale products bought online can be returned for a refund or exchange within 14 days of purchase.
Non-sale items bought in store can be returned for a refund or exchange within 28 days of purchase.
In all cases a returned product must be its original state, unused, in original packaging and with all tags attached.
Exclusions - Toiletries, personal items, personalised items, opened mattresses, books, Tens machines, gift vouchers/cards, opened videos and software (unless faulty). There are no catches or exceptions, all we ask is that the goods are sent back in the original packing and the goods are in the same unused condition as when you received them.
*This does not affect your rights if the product is fault or misdescribed.

Please note any postage incurred by returning the item(s) to us will not be refunded.
Please do not travel to this location as we cannot process a refund directly.
Proof of purchase is required (for online orders you can use your order confirmation email or dispatch email).
All returned goods must be accompanied by a note of your details and order number, you can print a returns slip here.
If you need advice before you return an item please use our contact form. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Should you require an not suitable item to be collected this can be arranged by sending in the request through our contact form. Please note that a €10 charge will be incurred.
All returned goods by post must be accompanied by a delivery note (this comes with the delivery of your goods), with completed details on the reverse. The goods are your responsibility until they reach our Warehouse. Please ensure you package your return to prevent any damage to the items or boxes. We are not responsible for any items that are returned to us in error.
Providing the item qualifies for a refund then this will be issued to the source of the original payment. Please note that when returning an item to a store they will confirm whether or not the item qualifies for a refund, however, they will not issue the refund from the store. The store will notify Customer Services and the refund will be issued to the source of original payment. Details are as follows:
1. For payments funded with a Debit/Credit card, the refund will be issued back to the same card.
2. For payments funded with a Paypal account, the refund will be issued back to the same Paypal account.
Refunds are in the same currency as the original payment.
Whilst Mothercare will issue the refund as soon as possible, refunds can take up to 30 days depending on the bank or form of payment.
Faulty pushchairs or car seats
If you experience any problems with your pushchair or car seat they must be taken to your nearest store to be examined by a specialist.
Once the item has been examined it will be sent for either a repair or replacement if deemed necessary.
We will provide you with a courtesy stroller, subject to availability, whilst yours is away for repair.
Mothercare pushchair and car seat guarantee
All Mothercare branded pushchairs and car seats are subject to guarantee:
6 months – for products purchased under the value €100; or 2 years – for products purchased above the value of €100.
The guarantee does not cover rain covers or wheels.
